Dinosaurs were vertebrate animals and they rules the earth for more than 200
millions of years back when there were no human being and that age has been
named as "The Age of Reptiles" because in that age there were different
kinds of reptiles. They were really huge and were of different sizes. Initially
when dinosaurs evolved, they walked on two legs and after several years some
group of dinosaurs returned to consist of four legs.
Various species of dinosaurs had different features and also varied with different
structures of body. some dinosaurs were very huge in size and some were small,
some consumed only plants, some consumed both plants and animals, some were
fast running and some were very slow, some walked on two legs and some walked
on four legs, some dinosaurs had protective shield, some had thick skin, some
had extreme sharp and huge horns. No one knows as to what colors and patterns
they had on their body or how they sounded and how was their behavior.
But now they mysteriously went extinct 65 million years ago. There are lots
of theories related to their extinct. Mostly accepted theories are that there
was an impact of asteroid on earth which in turn changed the climate and which
dinosaurs couldn’t resist. Now all that is left is fossils. From fossils
our scientists comes to know about different new species of dinosaur.
