Bats are one of the mammals and can be found almost in every part of the world
except where it is very very hot or in the extreme cold areas like Antarctica
or on some remote islands.
There are more than 900 species living worldwide.
They usually spend their time by sleeping in the dark or shadowy corner and well
known hunter at nights.
A bat usually consumes insects, pollen, nectar,
fruit, frogs, fish, rodents etc. They may eat as much as their weight in insects
per day. Bats hunt their prey by sending sound waves wherein they can detect and
chase it down while flying. One of the facts of bats is they never harm children
and pets and neither have they carried any diseases. They are not blind and neither
had they damaged any paint or woodwork and more over they have an excellent sense
of hearing and smelling.
Bats are very concern about their cleanliness,
as the matter of fact they keep them selves very clean and gentle. In comparison
to other birds bats are having much thinner wings that is the reason bats precisely
move much faster than other birds. Bats can have a life span up to 20 years.
